Email focus wins over dinner

I had some work to do in the evening that took longer than I expected. I also wanted to get my email newsletter to constituents out this evening as well, and to ensure the link to my next video focus was included. The only problem was that the video focus wasn't ready! So I had to cancel a dinner I had planned to go to.

I shouldn't complain though as we went for lunch at the Strangers restaurant in Parliament today. This was a thank you to James Cooper, the intern for whom I have been responsible over the past three months. He leaves tomorrow though I won't be there as I will be in Gateshead.

What was missing from the video focus was the soundtrack. By 7pm tonight I still hadn't written it so I simply wrote a few notes and instead of reading a script, I talked me way through the video. In a great hurry I edited it into the video and whacked it up onto YouTube, put the link onto the email newsletter, prayed it was working and then emailed it out to nearly 800 households. I was at Westminster station when it reached my blackberry.

What it shows is that video newsletters can be put together very quickly. I'll put my latest one onto the blog tomorrow. And the unused footage is likely to find its way into the next edition which I am planning already.

Nowhere to put this post in a political blog what does that tell you about the Lib Dems?.

NEW Labour have stayed true to the founding spirit of the NHS "CRADLE TO THE GRAVE" all they are doing is speeding up the "TO THE GRAVE" bit.

Health care and free prescriptions...

One of the most Sicking sights I have ever seen was when the Lib Dems and their ex leader Jim Wallace now ex member of the Scottish Parliament voted AGAINST a bill for free prescriptions. The bill was brought before the Scottish Parliament by the Scottish Socialist Party. After the vote Colin Fox leader of the Scottish Socialist Party said this when addressing the Scottish Parliament...

"I note the Lib Dems voted against this bill knowing that they are going to put free prescriptions into a future Manifesto, hypocrites and hypocrites to a man. Jim Wallace and his fallow Lib Dems thought this was hilarious...

What are we really dealing with when a so called civlised society makes there fellow human beings go without much needed treatment to be able to cope with pain and even premature death that can/may be averted. What kind of being does this?. In the animal kindom there are animals that try to help each other when they are ill, seems mankind has not reach this leval of attainment in his evolution. Will he ever?.
