Sharon Hodgson is the Labour MP for Gateshead East and Washington West (though Labour have enforced a speedy goodbye to her by selecting a much older man as the candidate for the new Gateshead constituency). She is not widely known for anything special in Parliament, other than a rather interesting early day motion that praised her a couple of years ago. It was interesting as she was the one who wrote and sponsored it!
So I guess it should come as no surprise that dearest Sharon should write a news release describing a speech she had made in Parliament as "well received". You have neglected to note that the speech was praised by none other Liberal Democrat shadow spokesperson for Housing, Sarah Teather MP. Not to mention the Tory Shadow Minister Paul Goodman MP.
Good to see the Lib Dems speaking with one voice at a local and national level as ever.
